Welcome to JD's Winds Aloft!
Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by my site! I have created this website because I have a love for Hot Air Ballooning and the City of Albuquerque, New Mexico as well as the State of New Mexico itself. My hope is that you can take away from this site as much as possible whether it be a learning experience, or perhaps find an interest in New Mexico and ballooning in the City of Albuquerque.

Every October, the skies above Albuquerque, New Mexico transform from a brilliant blue to a large kaleidoscope of color and wonder. This happens thanks to one of the most prestigious, if not the most prestigious ballooning events in the world, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. In the history section of my site, you will learn about the Balloon Fiesta as well as the history of hot air ballooning and how ballooning contributed to the dawn of aviation.

I will also have a page filled with photos of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta with some photos of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Area. Finally, I will share with you some of my favorite links to various different websites that focus their attention to the State of New Mexico, the City of Albuquerque, and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
